Proximity to Airport. Rooms comfortable and well heated.
Although bedroom appears to have had recent facelift, all public areas are tired and scruffy. Reception cold and unwelcoming. Bar full of large screen tv's so dont go in if you just want a quiet drink! It took me 30 minutes to check out making me have to rush for my flight. Booking / charging system appears to be steam driven.
A good hotel for airport and transfer was good.The menu for dinner is not comprehensive and could do with better food for a four star service
Easy walking distance to Aberdeen Airport (there is a regular shuttle bus too if you have lots of bags)
There is no access to a public computer to check flight information. Pretty useless for an airport hotel!

Handy for the airport, but only if you get provided with the advertised courtesy bus. Ours never turned up, and we ended up having to order a taxi at the last minute ,to check in at the allotted time.....very stressful start to a long day of travelling!
Very expensive during the week for a" room only" quick stay, prior to a very early morning flight
We were extremely happy to be upgraded to 2 double bedroom since 2 singles were full. Most comfortable bed and room possible. Window opening was great since I have claustraphobia!
Unfortunately we were a long distance from reception and the walk was difficult. No wheel chairs in hotel which is a shame.
Room was well laid out comfortable and very relaxing.
Hotel is very close to the airport, distance can be walked by feet if not carrying too much luggagge but not too noisy due to distance to airport.
Food available quickly at the bar.
Receptionist seemed a little disinterested with a not very warm attitude on arrival in the evening;a little offputting.
I chose the hotel for its location near the Aberdeen Dyce Airport and shuttle service to the airport.
You need to add face cloths or wash cloths for patron use.
Great location and the rooms are deigned nice
Even though I like the look of wooden floors. A combination of a tiled bathroom and wooden room floors left a contiuous cold feeling on the bottom of my feet.
The cost of parking is a disgrace to be honest! Stay at this hotel but leave you car else where.
We attended a wedding at the Thistle and would highly recommended the hotel as excellent staff and bedrooms were very comfortable
I only have one small complaint I would have taken breakfast but found it too steep as I only have toast and an egg in the morning and would like there to have been individual prices Regards M Mcewan

Staff were friendly. However, they were also equally hopeless at meeting my needs / concerns.
Arriving late, due to a weather delayed flight, I phoned the hotel to ask for directions to the hotel (it was not visible from the terminal building) and the staff member was unable to provide these, despite me asking whether they were near the petrol station (they are opposite it!). Also, the hotel shuttle was not available and a taxi sent never arrived. On arriving, after arranging our own transport, we were given room 096. The entire far wall of the room was covered in mould. Given that it was already midnight and I had 3 small children in tow who were ready for bed I covered the wall and held the curtain in place with the standard lamp to minimise the impact of the mould. I raised the issue at chechout the following morning. Staff then feigned to be unaware of the mould issue - which I find highly unbelievable given that that much mould does not appear overnight and we noticed it within 5 minutes. I thought this hotel was uninhabitable and not only will I not be returning, but I was so horrified that I have reported the hotel to the environmental health officer.
